Get Involved — Volunteer!

 

Emma C. Smith PTA welcomes you to join us to make a positive impact in our community.  The PTA plays a huge role in the success of our school and is possible because of our volunteers time, talents and financial donations.  Nothing is too little, and we invite you all to come and join us in our effort to do the best for our students.

 

When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved.

Spring Book Fair 
 

We need YOU to help make this book fair possible for our wonderful kids. It's a great way to get to know other Smith families and always lots of fun!

Family Night: Wednesday the 24th, 4-7pm

Teacher Appreciation Week this year will be the week of May 6th. This is a wonderful week where we have different activities and gifts of appreciation each day to show our teachers how appreciated they are! Our teacher appreciation week chair will be contacting room parents with information each class will need to make the week a success once their planning is complete.
 
Smith's Annual Multi-Cultural Festival 
May 10th from 5:00-8:00pm in the MPR. This event will educate our students, parents, and school staff about different cultures, foods, music, customs, and special performances. 
 
We need YOUR help to make this event a success! We are looking for volunteers to host a Country/Table. This trip does not require a large budget, will not cause jet lag and you can pack very lightly…a perfect way to travel!
 
We are also looking for performers! Share the beauty and wonder of your culture/country with our Smith Community!
