President's Message

Welcome back, Cougar Families!

I am very excited to serve as your new PTA President for 2026-2027, and for all of the amazing things we have planned for this school year! I have served on our PTA Executive board for the past three years, and I have a 1st and 5th grader here at Smith. I absolutely love our school and community and often substitute at Smith, so please feel free to say hi or reach out to me with any questions!

The school year is off to a great start, and we have A LOT coming up this fall!

9/17 - PTA Member Meeting @7pm in the Smith Library

9/25 - Smith Fall Carnival @5-7:30 on the Smith Blacktop

10/21 - Cougar Chase

We rely on volunteers like you to keep our events going, so whether you have one hour or many, every contribution makes a difference. You can sign up to volunteer through our website, or feel free to reach our directly to our VP of Volunteers at vpvolunteers@emmacsmithpta.com

Our first PTA Member Meeting will be in-person in the Smith Library! Please come and join us for a casual meet & greet with snacks and drinks before the Member Meeting. We can’t wait to meet you!

Upcoming Events & Programs

Fall Carnival

Fall Carnival is a family event on Friday, September 25th! Each classroom will be hosting a game booth with prizes. Attendees will be able to purchase tickets to play the games and all proceeds go directly back to the teachers classrooms!

Campus Beautification

Our garden program is well loved by students, staff and families. We're in the process of expanding our garden this year and need more helping hands in the soil! Please consider joining our beautification committee!

Mileage Club

Every Tuesday join us on the blacktop to get some exercise in and wiggles out before school.

PTA Member Meeting

Come to our first PTA Meeting of the year! Learn about what the PTA does for our school and how you can get involved.

Cougar Chase

Our largest fundraiser of the year is coming soon! We are currently seeking corporate sponsors to support our event.

First day of School

Welcome to all of our new Cougars and welcome back to our returning Cougars!

Have you seen our new ball wall?

One of our summer projects was to create a mural for the schools ball wall. We are lucky enough to have an exceptional PTA parent who volunteered to create this masterpiece. It took many late nights and many helpers to get this done and it looks beautiful! Huge thank you to all who were involved. Our returning Cougars were so excited when they returned to campus to see it. It will also serve as a great back drop for photos!
