Thanks to all of your generous donations, both in time and money, we're funding campus improvement projects and running nearly 30 programs and events. Descriptions are below and also in the subpages from the drop down menu.

Events

5th Grade Promotion - Smith is one of the few schools in the district that has a 5th grade promotion ceremony. It is planned and sponsored by the PTA in coordination with the school. This event is meant for the students to acknowledge their hard work. It will be held during school hours at the end of the school year. Parents are welcome to attend. Team Leader: Lisa Climent

Assembly Coordinator - The PTA sponsors the assemblies at Smith School with the exception of the Awards Assemblies. We have a great committee that is always striving to strike the balance between fun and education. Sometimes we have an acting group come in and perform a play other times it may be Chinese acrobats. Hopefully you hear your children talking about these activities. Chair: OPEN

Book Fair – Twice a year parent volunteers bring the Scholastic Book Fair to Smith. It is a week long event with many opportunities for you and your children to stop by and pick up a few good books. Look for the flyers and stop by. The school earns credit for books with each purchase. Team Leader: Lexi Pereira (alexiapereira@emmacsmithpta.com)

STEAM - The Smith Student STEAM Faire is an opportunity for Smith students to share what they have learned and made. Exhibits range from paper airplanes and rock painting, science experiments to cartoon drawings. Team Leader: OPEN
